Tide and Texture Wrap - Crochet Pattern
Originally part of the Summer 2025 Mystery Make-Along, the Tide & Texture Wrap is a journey through stitch and color. Now available as a full pattern, this wrap brings a touch of calm, coastal charm to your wardrobe.
This lightweight rectangular shawl is perfect for intermediate crocheters who enjoy openwork stitch play and subtle color transitions. The pattern alternates between solid and airy sections, creating a beautifully balanced fabric that feels breezy yet grounded—ideal for layering in any season.
Crafted with Lion Brand’s Cotton Hemp yarn, the wrap features a breathable worsted-weight texture with a soft, natural hand. The color palette—Husk, Aero, Neptune, and Deep Denim—fades gently from light to dark in a serene ombré reminiscent of seaf and sky. Optional fringe along three edges adds a bit of whimsy and movement to the finished piece.

- 2 balls “Aero” = Color A (CA)
- 2 balls “Husk” = Color B (CB)

Hook: H / 5mm & J / 6mm
While gauge is not critical for a wrap, not meeting gauge may change the size of the finished piece and amount of yarn used.
Gauge: 12 sts = 4” in single crochet using J / 6mm hook
*The wrap will use various stitches and each section will give the gauge in the stitches used for that portion of the pattern.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, Tapestry/yarn needle, 5” piece of cardboard or other tool for measuring fringe (optional), Yarn/food scale (optional, it’s just a handy tool)
Finished Size: One Size
- about 20” wide x 60” long before blocking
- about 25” x 75” after blocking (varies by how vigorously you block your finished piece)
