There are 3 size variations for this shawl. To complete the smallest variation (“Short”) you will need at least 600 yards of fingering weight yarn. There are a few extendable rows at the end of this size should you find yourself with more yarn and the desire to continue for a few more rows. (“Short” version has 168 rows with the potential to work to row 176.)
The “Standard” version uses the entirety of two skeins of Polka (discontinued)(100 grams/400 yards each equalling 200 grams/800 yards total). This brings you through 194 rows of the pattern.
The “Extended” version follows the same chart/instructions as the “Standard” size, but continues to row 210. For this you will want an additional 40 grams (160 yards) of yarn. These last 16 rows can be repeated until your shawl is the desired size.
Suggested Yarns: 2 (2, 3) skeins Polka Sock yarn [100 grams / 400 yards; 100% superwash merino; fingering weight] - discontinued
