80 Blankets: Pineapples In Stripes

This blanket was born as a variation of the original 80 Blankets: Pineapples I did previously. I loved the allover look of the pineapple stitches, but like any other bobble or puff stitch it eats through yarn pretty rapidly. So for this version I’ve paired rows of half double crochet in Color Made Easy Alabaster with smaller sections of pineapples in Color Made Easy Mineral Yellow. The Pattern 5 skeins Color Made Easy Alabaster 2 skeins Color Made Easy Mineral Yellow 9mm crochet hook 2 hdc = 1″ Finished size: 45″ x 55″ The 2 chains at the beginning of each row do not count as a stitch. Wedding Blankets: My Go-To Stitch

One stitch pattern in particular has become my go-to, my buddy, my best friend and it's the wavy chevron. It's classic ripple stitch goodness that works with just about all yarns no matter what the weight or texture. So far I've worked this pattern using Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®, Totally Tubular, Feels Like Butta with Mandala Roving, Feels Like Butta with Winter Nights (on one I also added stripes of Go For Faux to this combination), Touch of Alpaca with Winter Nights, Turnstyles, and We Are Knitters The Petite Wool.
