These faux fur bucket hats seem to be everywhere these days, so I thought why not? Let's just on this bucket hat band wagon! This simple crochet bucket hat is worked using single crochet stitches. The faux sherpa yarn can make finding your stitches challenging, but also covers mistakes and accidental “design elements.”

Featured Yarn: 1 ball Lion Brand Go For Fleece Sherpa in Honey; 89 yards, 184 grams, CYC #7 100% Polyester
Hook: P/11.5mm, or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: 6 sts = 4” in single crochet (1.5 sts per inch)
Notions: Locking stitch marker Tapestry needle • Finished Size Adult - 20” circumference
The Pattern
Chain 2
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet into the second chain from hook, slip stitch in first st to end the rnd – 6 sc
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in each st, slip stitch into first st to rnd the rnd – 12 sc
Rnd 3: ch 1, *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st; rep from * another 5 times, slip stitch into first st to end the rnd – 18 sts
Rnd 4: ch 1, *2 sc, 2 sc in the next st; rep from * another 5 times, slip stitch into first st to end the rnd- 24 sts
Rnd 5: ch 1, *3 sc, 2 sc in the next st; rep from * another 5 times, slip stitch into first st to end the rnd – 30 sts
