We’re All Mad Here is designed to use a single skein of sock yarn. The simple patterning allows you to use a solid or variegated yarn.
The first rows are worked back and forth across the whole row. After that you will work a series of simple short rows to accentuate the center point of the shawl. (If you have additional yarn you can continue to work these as full rows which will also add to the overall wingspan length.) Once the short rows are complete you will work a few more full rows to tie it all together and add a little more length on the wingspan.
The body of the shawl uses 3 colors of seed beads. I chose to finish my shawl with a beaded bind off for extra pizzazz. I also find the extra weight of a beaded bind off nice for a fingering weight shawl. If you don’t want to bead the edge simple substitute your favorite stretchy bind off.
