Due to the length of the rows (and non-repeating pattern) the Ruby shawl is given in chart form only. Print out the charts for your size, grab a pen and highlighter (or chart keeper), and settle in for some knitting. When patterns are charted I like to count any plain knit boxes so I know how many stitches to knit before the next piece of patterning.
Patterning is worked only on the right side (RS) of this design. All wrong side (WS) rows are purled (with the first and last 3 edge stitches in garter). Charts do not show WS rows.
