Capture a moment in time by creating a mood blanket that’s unique to you. Like a temperature blanket, you will work a row a day. However, instead of color being based on temperatures here you will choose a color that matches how you’re feeling. We’ve created a palette to use, but feel free to swap colors that suit you better.
Mood blankets can begin at any time and last as long as you need, however, this pattern is written to be worked over a period of 6 months. Mood blankets are a great way to document special times. Expecting a baby? Stitch a row every day until baby arrives. Planning a wedding? Count down the days with a mood blanket!
Please remember, and I cannot stress this enough, the finished length of your blanket will depend on the assortment of stitches you work. There’s no way to predict this, of course, because the uniqueness of the blanket is exactly what makes it fun! Yardage will also vary. Make sure you have plenty of your yarn choice so you don’t end up being happy for the first half of the blanket and sad for the second! Hopefully you’re happy the whole time!
