Comfort and practicality are number one for baby garments and this super soft machine washable sweater has that covered. (Cute is an inevitable bonus!) The Half Pint raglan is knit from the top down. The 2x2 cable crosses that accent the raglan increases meet under the arm and turn into an XO cable down the side of the body to wrap baby in hugs and kisses!
It is not a mistake that the kfb increase is worked 1 stitch away from the stitch marker on some occasions. Although it seems as if it might be lopsided, this actually creates a more even visual effect. When you work a kfb increase you create a purl bump on the left side of the stitch. “Slip marker, kfb” will look like there is a knit stitch and then a purl bump. To have the same effect on the mirrored side you need to work “kfb, k1, slip marker.” This maintains a knit stitch on the side of the stitch closest to your stitch marker. Trust the process!
