Originally part of the Summer 2025 Mystery Make-Along, the Coastal Drift Wrap is a celebration of calm coastal days and effortless texture play. Now revealed in full, this lightweight, all-seasons wrap invites you to drift from stitch to stitch, savoring every color change along the way.
Worked in Lion Brand’s Cotton Hemp—a worsted-weight blend that’s breathable yet structured—this rectangular wrap is perfect for warmer months or layering through transitional seasons. The color story flows gently from light to dark (Husk, Aero, Neptune, and Deep Denim), creating a soft ombré effect reminiscent of the shore meeting the sea.

- 2 balls “Aero” = Color A (CA)
- 2 balls “Husk” = Color B (CB)

Needles: US 8 / 5mm 32” or longer circular needle
While gauge is not critical for a wrap, not meeting gauge may change the size of the finished piece and amount of yarn used.
Gauge: 15 sts & 30 rows = 4” in garter stitch before blocking with size 8 / 5mm needles
*The wrap will use various stitches and each section will give the gauge in the stitches used for that portion of the pattern.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, Tapestry/yarn needle, 5” piece of cardboard or other tool for measuring fringe (optional), Yarn/food scale (optional, it’s just a handy tool)
Finished Size: One Size
- about 22” wide x 60” long before blocking
- about 24” x 70” after blocking (varies by how vigorously you block your finished piece)
