Truboo Is A Boo

If you're thinking about trying Lion Brand's Truboo yarn just stop. Don't do it. Unless you enjoy being frustrated in which case go for it.

This yarn is so pretty. It might lure you in with its shiny softness, but IT'S SO SLIPPERY! I made the Montauk Top using this yarn and I pretty much wanted to throw the thing out the entire time. I do like the fabric. I just hated knitting the yarn. Stitches were constantly slipping off the needles. And when they do they go zooooooom and unravel.

If you're looking for an alternative try Lion Brand's Coboo yarn instead. It's also soft (and kinda splitty), but it doesn't slip and slide like a block of half melted butter in the Summer.

Crocheting this yarn might be better. Honestly I was so frustrated by my knitting experience I didn't even try. Have you worked with Truboo yarn? How do you like it? I'm annoyed that I didn't enjoy working with it, because like I said, the resulting fabric is nice. It has a soft cool touch to it that's great for warm weather. It does have heft to it though as well. It's not a "light" summer yarn.
